ZGA was the associate architect on the Idaho Water Center project. Designed by NBBJ, the facility’s research, learning and administration environments are designed to enhance the educational mission of the University of Idaho and the technical advancement of the State of Idaho.
As the associate architect, ZGA was the local representative for shell and core design and construction administration as well as serving as the architect of record for tenant improvements for the University of Idaho, US Forest Service, and the Idaho Department
of Water Resources.
The facility incorporates healthy and sustainable design features such as solar sunshades, geothermal heating, groundwater cooling, and underfloor air handling systems. The south facing windows pull natural light into the classrooms. The building
sits above a shared neighborhood underground garage serving residential, education and office parking needs.
